Love is Patient
He tells you love takes time,
There’s beauty in those words
But why is beauty in the most vicious crime?
You spend every day looking for that one true love,
give yourself to so many men.
The joy of life fleeting, your mind corrupt,
Looking for the love of the Leviathan.
Do you believe them, when they say those words?
The sky’s an endless opportunity of dreams?
You couldn’t wait to grow older, be like the Byrd.
But all you hear now are those endless screams.
It’s in your mind, there’s nothing wrong with you
But you know yourself, right?
Isn’t that why you withdrew,
Given yourself to the night?
