Love is Love is Love

Love is kind as the stubbled kiss of morning dew along the ankle’s balloon

Love is not a frightening chase between predator and prey

Love is not a callous catcall pawing at your shoes under candlelight moon

Love is a thrilling embrace between tide and bay

Love is gentle as a spring breeze’s skip over your face

Love is warm as streaks of Sun across window panes

Love is not a subdued Stallion’s mangling chariot race

Love is not a bitter wind across your cheeks and veins

Love is loyal as the honey bee is to flowers

Love is as trusting as dusk is to dawn

Love is not a Bengal tiger’s battle for power

Love is not an exercise in brawn

To those who’ve only known love in the of daze of reveries and romantic comedies

To those who’ve never known love, it is a maze of Earth’s arteries
