love letter
HOW DO I CARE ABOUT SOMETHING ELSE
HOW DO I CARE ABOUT SOMETHING THATS NOT YOU
WHEN YOU MAKE MY HEART BEAT
YOU PUSH AIR THROUGH MY LUNGS
YOU MAKE ME FUCKING LIVE
IM ALIVE WHEN YOU'RE ON MY MIND
POETRY'S BEAUTIFUL, BABY, BUT YOU'RE EVEN PRETTIER
AND I ALWAYS THOUGHT I'D FIND SOMEONE
BUT THAT SOMEONE TURNED INTO NO ONE WHEN I FOUND YOU
AND I JUST WANT YOU TO BE SAFE AND HAPPY FOREVER AND EVER
AND I WANT TO PROTECT YOU FROM ALL OF THE BAD SHIT IN THIS WORLD
BUT MY ARMS ARE TOO FUCKING SKINNY TO SHIELD YOU FROM THOSE BULLETS
AND BELIEVE ME, I AM HURT FAR WORSE BY YOUR PAIN THAN YOU COULD EVER IMAGINE
SOMEHOW, IN YOUR PRESENCE, MY TEARS GO FROM BURNING RED INTO MY SKIN TO WATERING FLOWERS, BEAUTIFUL FLOWERS
AND HAVING A RICH FULL GARDEN IS SO SO MUCH BETTER
THAN THE GREY DUST AND WEEDS OF LONELINESS
