To a Love That Has Yet to Come

Sun, 03/10/2019 - 15:10 -- bsawyer

Here are my words for a lover true

That one day you’ll hear and accept my tune

For I have eyes only for you

My lover yet to come.

Our time is forever in your eyes

Where all I see is you and me

And neither one of us ever dies

My lover yet to come.

Your auburn hair is like silent fire

Sitting still in the silent air

To feel its warmth absorbs my ire

My lover yet to come.

While the night is young and so are we

To be locked in your hand is to be truly free

And we shall live forever in timeless key

My lover that is here.
