Louis Zamperini

You are a hero,
you are bold,
your legacy,
we'll never grow old.
You are strong,
you are tough,
you keep on fighting,
even when you've had enough.
You are amazing,
make the human race proud,
we shout our joy to you,
as you run past the Olympic crowds.
You ran faster,
faster than them all,
but during the war,
you hit a wall.
In the end you pushed through,
with power so great and mighty,
you won award after award,
and they were given to you rightly.
It convulses is my heart,
to hear all that you and Ord,
but your memory will forever be with me,
that can be assured.
So happy I am,
that God when your heart,
and in eternal life,
you will never be apart.
Someday I will meet you,
face to face,
way up in heaven,
under God's grace.
