Long Lost

Separated at birth, but each given a gift.

A ring, with the beloved family crest.

One went to a rich, new family, while the other was left alone,

as a heartbroken, sorrowful orphan, with no

family to call their own,

no mother or father to love.

Layla and Eli Foster, alike in almost every way, but yet so

different.

They looked alike,

they lived in the same city, same state,

and they were like the same person,

split into two personalities.

One light and bubbly, free and forgiving,

loving and full of life.

The other spoiled, naive, and pampered,

never appreciative of what she had; a family.

Through the years, the two siblings always wondered about

their gift,

something they have always had in common.

Both curious of the round, slender, silver strand

around their finger with the shape of an

oval.

The oval, then, containing two doves making the shape of a heart around the name- Foster.

An 'L' upon one dove and, 'E' on the other,

making the heart together,

filled with unstoppable love.

Each always thinking, "Who is this 'L' or who is this 'E' I wear upon my finger?"

Both spent what seemed like forever and a day

trying to find their other half.

Eighteen long years later, on January 4th, was the day of their 18th birthday.

The day they got separated, yet also, they day the two siblings,

finally meet.

Both looked down at the other's finger where the ring laid.

It was like looking into a mirror,

a magical, mystical, unbelievable mirror, of the two and only

Foster children.

They day of January 4th, was the day the twins reunited and became one.

One sibling hood,

one family.
