A Lonely Valentine

I move forward one step at a time.

My heart in my chest lets out a sigh.

Looking for you seems like an endless waste of time.

Who am I?

I am the one without a valentine.

I've been searching far and wide.

I'm worried that there's nothing left to find.

I stop and waste some more time.

My heart,

Frantic for a partner in crime, stays silent.

That's fine.

I open my eyes.

I keep looking for a sign

Because I know I'll never stop trying to find what's mine.
