When I was frightened
Everything went wrong
I should have trusted you
But I’m not that strong
Now I’m way too late
To fix this broken life
I caused too much pain
All we can do is strive
Maybe we can move past
All this soul consuming pain
And somehow figure out
How to turn loss into gain
Forgiveness may be forgotten
That I must and will accept
But not having you in my life
