Loneliness

I feel like I’ll never leave this place

There’s no escape

I’m my own worst enemy

I’ve given up

I’m suffocating

I’m not prepared, but no one cares

Your lips say that you love, your eyes say that you hate

There’s truth in your lies, doubt in your faith

All I’ve got is what you didn’t take

I’m all alone

Alone with all my secrets and regrets

You promised me the sky, then toss me

Like a stone.

The only thing that’s worse than one is none.

And all I’ve got is none.

Trying to be genuine was harder than it seemed

Somehow I got caught up in between

Between my pride and my promise

I was missing, you were scared

But no one would listen

Cuz no one else cared

I’ve never been perfect

All the hurt inside I’ve learned to hide so well

Pretending someone else can come and save me

From myself

Sometimes solutions aren’t so simple

Sometimes delusions aren’t so simple

Sometimes goodbyes is the only way

Because the shadows of the day

Will embrace the world in grey

You replaced freedom with fear, traded money for lies

I see Pain, I see Need

I see Liars and thieves, replace power with greed

I had Hope, I Believed

But It all disappeared as darkness fell

I’ve realized I’ve been deceived

My insides all turn to ash

And blow away as I collapse

Another darkness over day

Cause my path and mind has lost direction

You try to find a reason why it all went away

And you think of what you could have done different

When you thought you had it all

That’s when you lost everything

If you want to hold onto everything, you will fall

In the end, you have nothing at all.

Soon the memories will disappear

Time will fly by

Voices inside tells me to be gone

I needed to be free but you held me in your palm

Trapped between your fingers

Now I’m free to do as I please

But I find myself unimpressed

I went in search for more

And ended back where I started it all

I finally realized the best solution

Was to forgive

In this farewell, from the truth, of a thousand lies

Let mercy come

And wash away what I’ve done

I’ll face myself

And cross out what I’ve become

Erase myself

And let it go

I’ll start again

And whatever pain may come

I’m forgiving what I’ve done
