The Little Boy in China

Wed, 05/29/2013 - 15:40 -- Holly

Little one in the dark
From heaven to womb to pipe
The mother who he clung to
Hated him, down the drain.
Blessed with life
And cursed with fear
The woman let him go
And not yet ready for the grave
He screamed.
Little one in the dark
Saw light when they sawed the pipe.
Welcome to the world Little One,
The dark, cruel world
Where miracles are often seen as rubbish
And unloved humans are waste.
Welcome to the world, Little One,
May you truly see the light
And live each day with purpose,
And love the unloved in forgiveness,
And may you never flush blessings away.
