Lighthouse

Don't leave me my darling, please be my guiding light
Help me keep my direction while at sea
For without you I'll be lost in the dimness of my midnight

I shall hang on to each gleam with all my might
And admire each one and follow what I see
Don't leave me my darling, please be my guiding light

And where you don't shine my way, know, it stirs a fright
I tend to sail downstream and out of trajectory
For without you I'll be lost in the dimness of my midnight

Please shine my way, please shine bright
Without you I can't see the bumps in the sea to a fatal degree
Don't leave me my darling, please be my guiding light

I notice you're fading, and I know it's hard to fight
But please don't burn out, please just twinkle a while longer for me
For without you I'll be lost in the dimness of my midnight

Please my dear, for the love of my extended plight
Don't let your light fade, please let it be
Don't leave me my darling, please be my guiding light
For without you I'll be lost in the dimness of my midnight
