Life's Bride

Thu, 11/08/2018 - 22:25 -- gaby.vv

I've got piercings, I've got tattoos,

I've got anxiety, I've got blues,

All which judgement brings, but who I am...seeing gives no clues.

People think what they think,

But every way I am perceived is a ruse.

I'm anyone's emotions who gets too close,

I'm anyone's instrument with no reward returned,

But no anger do I boast,

Who I am is what I've learned.

I'll give up my kidney,

To someone who needs it more,

I'll learn to throw knives,

I'll be an expert in folklore,

An environmentalist saving tree lives,

Life is not meant to be a bore.

I wanna be undefinable,

A dictionary would ashamedly admit it cannot describe,

My accomplishments to be unconfinable,

I wanna be life's bride.
