Life is Too Short & Then You are Old

Thu, 08/29/2024 - 11:33 -- Emenate

Keeping it going is what they say, knowing the place.

That I am raised...growing and growing every day.

Who would have thought that your city would show no love?

The people that I grew up

With no longer with me and it sucks!

Is the lifestyle that it brings

Or were we too dumb to peep?

We were just little kids.

I reminisce looking back and I see,

How was that normal? Outlaws, I guess

And the storm goes like this.

8 kids from the same block

was together all the time.

in the same place in the same spot

Playing sports of all kinds.

We get older and are influenced by many things.

Couldn't stop for a second and think,

The actions we did were wrong, the consequences were big.

The outcome of the path we chose

Only the lord knows,

Why it turned out this way and I hope

To see better days, only 6 of us left, as 2 had to go.

2 friends I cannot forget, may your souls rest!

Find heavenly peace, until we meet next.

That's the outcome of money and drugs.

In neighborhoods that disrupt

Youth growing up, the feeling of being stuck.

Until you step up and say enough is enough!

Take control of your life's steering wheel

And change for the best

Tell the world how you feel

Fill it with success and pray to be blessed.

This long story short that I told

Let the narrative unfold

As time progresses and grows

Life is too short and then you are old.
