Growing up without a mother wasn't easy
She was never there for me
She was always looking dizzy
My dad was always there for me
He constantly showed his love for me
He told me how much he cared for me
But I always wondered where my mom was in my life
One day as I grew older
I realized that I had to accept life as it was
I had to accept that all I had was my father
That my mother wasn't going to change for me
That she didn't want to change
She loved the life she lived
So I began to love the life I lived
Began to accept the good with the bad
And smile when I was sad
Didn't let the fact that she wasn't there for me bother me
Or in fact affect me to do better
Actually her not being there motivated me
Made me want to be someone better
Someone who actually did something with their life
And that is why I have learned to accept life as it is.

I want to thank my dad for being there for me all the time and my family. My dad works so hard. He is a sinlge-parent and I know he tries so hard to support his family and I know it is not easy.
