Life in a Greenwood Thicket

Moisture accumulates in the dense woodland

Aromas of sage creep out and free their

Sweet remedies into the warm air

The sky tenderly kisses my brow

Before its tears stain my face

Trees are gently pushed- they sway in unison

To the rhythm of the rain

Sirens from the clouds warn of a passionate quarrel

As raindrops caress the pond.

Electricity floods through the earth

Igniting broken leaves to scatter,

Guided only by a soft breeze
