Life Deepens

My heart grew bright

As I saw my life

Change for the right

When I married my wife.

The bills grew bigger,

The days grew hectic,

School got harder,

But life was less frantic.

I saw my childhood slip away.

To sit in a corner,

Looked at fondly on a rainy day,

Because it was now the former.

However, life grows deeper

With each passing moment

If you realize the future

Is yours to own it.
