In a world filled with obscenities,

People bowing down to their own deities,

Being stranded on an island might not be so bad.

When I’m alone you’re all that I have,

Even though lately you’ve begun to fail me,

Depression and anxiety.

It’s hard.

Been dealt a few bad cards but

In the end it’ll all be worth it

It has to be worth it

Maybe I’m not a good fit

For this world.

The underworld

Can’t be much different

Giving in to all this resistance

And in the distance

The sun is rising

And I’m realizing

That I’m stuck

Bad luck.

Sucks to be you

Plan after plan falls through

Can’t see a future

People can’t see through the humor

And here I am

Goddamn

Can’t get it together

This depression around my ankle like a tether

Yet

I’m expected to excel

Living in this hell.
