Lies of Negligence
The actor prances across the set, prepared for his part.
His character must prove his mettle, not in the ring,
but on the string.
As he lifts the wooded beast, his eyes betray
his inner lack
of any sense of what to do.
Then dragging, scraping the bow, as would
an infant; not regarding the muse as a tool,
but as a toy.
Disrespect through negligence,
plain for all to see.
On the silver screen dwells not
a musician, certainly.
