Letters To Jimmy.

Dear Jimmy,

I wish you knew.

Before you tried to off yourself after countless nights of deprived sleep, laying awake thinking of 1000 reasons you shouldn’t be alive, we were thinking of you.

I wish you knew.

That growing up was not going to be all sunshine and rainbows, the pain was temporary and “This too, shall pass.”

I wish you knew

That the crevices you receive from yourself on your arm cut every single person that love you along with it.

I wish you knew

If you had simply stopped hiding from the facade, make peace with the wars behind your face and above your throat, and come out to us, you would see that you are not alone.

I wish you knew

That the world you saw through dark tainted eyes returned the glance, but saw differently. Saw light. You brought me up to the person I needed to be.

I wish you knew

That with every breath of life that you take you are not useless. You give my life purpose and are the most important person to me.

I wish we knew

That the happy little boy that I grew up with had demons haunting him night to night and thought of death as the only viable way of escape.

I wish we knew

So we could cleanse your thoughts and save you.

I wish we knew

Before the belt tightened and the pills were gone.

I wish we knew

That you and I are not so different.

But we dont.

Sincerely,

Your best Friend, You.
