A Letter to the Undefined

Society defines me as gray,

Gray as a stormcloud moving amidst the masses,

But I am red with a fire that sparks passion

within me to dance on ashes and sing in flares

Society defines me as gray,

Gray as cinders left from a burnt-out flame,

But I am orange painted through a sunset sky,

Coloring the world with vibrant energies of creativity

Society defines me as gray,

Gray as a crayon box of pencils,

But I am yellow as a pineapple;

Sweet to the core as I smile at the sun

Society defines me as gray,

Gray as a shadow hiding from sweet sunrays,

But I am green when I grow and learn amongst

yearning groves of galavanting grasses

Society defines me as gray,

Gray as the timid rock hidden under giant greens,

But I am blue because I am as brave as the

Soft tides swirling in the brutal ocean waves

Society defines me as gray,

Gray as still water, unchanging in mist

But I am purple like a peaceful lilac,

Laying simply beneath a twilight sky

Society defines me as gray,

Gray as an eerie, cloud covered night

But I am a rainbow,

Dipped in sweet sprinkles of all colors

Society defines me as gay

But I am an undefined individual,

For everyone paints their own rainbow;

Love is love in all colors
