Let Me Tell You
Let me tell you my friend, she was special
Not that I could’ve chosen from several
But she was my favorite out of the rest
We became close, on the journey out west
Antonia was my best childhood friend
I hope she remembers the times we’d spend
Practicing English, eager as can be
Teaching her letters, A, B, and C
All was okay, dandy, and fine
Tragedy arose, not a good time
Her dad passed away, it ruined the way
We used to be friends, day after day
Her despair and mourning pulled us apart
At the time, I felt she’d broken my heart
