Let Me Linger

Let me linger in your memory as you'll stay in mine,
Let's me pretend everything is ok and i'll be just fine.
I'll move on to another city,
I won't be here anymore giving pity.
Just let me linger in your thoughts on that warm April day,
Like the one in San Francisco where we both promised we'd always stay.
By then I'll be far almost unreachable,
You won't know if I'm alive or if I'm somewhere unnoticeable.
Let me linger in your skin,
Let a certain kiss remind you of the way we made love often.
By then i'll be on to my next lover,
As I scar my kisses on her.
I'm letting go because I love you, and I can't bare not having you.
Not kissing you nor calling you mine,
I cant keep pretending like its fine.
I don't want you to be around if I decide to love another,
Because that hurts so much seeing the person you love falling for the other.
I can't do that I can't hurt you more that way,
Although it kills me I have to ask for you not to stay.
I'm crazy Laura I Wouldn't want to be with me either. .
So just hide me away and in your memory let me linger.
