Let It Melt

Location

An accident took him away that day,

That cold night at the end of December,

And upon his grave I lay a bouquet,

But roses won't heal and I'll remember,

The joy your music brought upon this earth,

Sits dusty on some cold forgotten shelf,

Your guitar lies awaiting a rebirth,

Leaned against the corner all by herself,

And life goes on even without you here,

The ice in my heart slowly melts away,

But will the numbness ever disappear,

Or will it forever remain halfway?

I miss you more then you would ever know,

My cousin buried beneath the cold snow.
