Poetry has taught me that there is nothing wrong with free expression of self 

Poetry is not done for money and wealth

But because it is my escape, my platform, the lay out of my mental health.

Poetry taught me that I am more than what I look like 

Because the words on the page describe somebody no one has ever seen 

Though everybody looks at me, and a poet is not what they see.

Poetry shows me that through everyone’s eyes the world really is different and we can interpret it how we like...

Poetry showed me that though the world sees me as less than and unintelligent due to the color of my skin 

I am more than what everyone thinks I am.

I can do more than what everyone thinks I can.

Poetry is my outlet...

A disguise for my problems 

Poetry is what I speak and how I feel 

Poetry is what makes me who I am.

Poetry has showed me that I am limitless.
