Learning To Learn

I think we're burning in the flames we made.

Underestimated how much the future weighed.

 Maybe we've gone blind

from all the big screens and loud TV.

Maybe we can't speak,

traded our voices for a part in a movie.

You've got your drink in your right hand,

a lit cigarette in the other.

Your fantasy in your right hand,

your way to trade this world for another.

All this time I was searching

for the real me in a fantasy

because I'm an internet baby.

I didn't know myself was all in me.

I'm still learning to learn,

just beginning to yearn.

I'm still learning to learn

how to walk through the fire

and live through the burn.

I'm still learning to learn.

We may be so young, so wild, so free.

We may be victims of the internet and TV.

We all dance in circles to escape reality.

Our individuality is our only humanity.

We're finding ourselves in our own rubble.

But life is all about the struggle,

and not how much you stumble.

I'm still learning to learn,

 just beginning to yearn.

I'm still learning to learn

how to walk through the fire

and live through the burn.

I'm still learning to learn.
