Leaf Peepers

When times have me feeling weak and weary

I know just where to go.

To the mountains I travel to make my life a little more cheery.

The crisp autumn air and the crunch of the leaves sound as I walk the crisp ground, easy and slow.

The colorful leaves make me feel at home and safe.

I search for new colors and shades as the season brings new things.

I enjoy the visualization of the coming winter.

I begin to forget my life and how it may hinder.

Falling leaves seem so insignificant,

But to me, they appear magnificent.

I take a good look at what's around me.

As I leave the mountains feeling I can finally oversee

The troubles life brings.

The leaves are my peace keeper.

For I am, the ultimate leaf peeper.
