Laughter

Sat, 10/11/2014 - 22:10 -- eperez

It was you who taught me how to live,

to learn,

to experience.

With your wisdom I fought.

Fought my fears, my struggles,

myself.

Your love made me strong. I fought

my endeavors with such armament.

I was your mirror, your reflection.

I was your empty vessel

which you filled with visions,

emotions, and yourself.

My mind became your scrapbook

and my memories its contents.

Laughter, you pushed me to my

limits. Me...

The concrete pillar supporting a mammoth

skyscraper.

Snapped, snapped, snapped every time.

But you always found a way to make me

stronger.

Stronger as the skyscraper grew.

You made me feel pain,

Laughter, you made me bleed.

but most barbaric of all,

you made me cry.

Barbaric? ...Laughter. No.

Angelic.

You only cared for me. I felt it.

You wanted me to succeed. I felt it.

You loved me. I felt that too.

You are my wings, laughter.

I can't be Pegasus without you.

I can't fly graciously over the world.

You are king laughter.

You are mighty.

Me, the peasant, I bow to you.

Command me.

Without you I am nothing.

You've become my drug.

I need you.

I've found you and can't let go.

I call you laughter

Laugh, laugh, laugh again.

Fuel my need for you.

Laugh, one more time.

I call you laughter,  I need you.

Laugh, laugh, laugh again.
