The last leaf

There's a tree that has one leaf left

There's no one around to pick the rest up, but that one won't fall

It tries its hardest to sustain the tough weather, and it still won't fall

Many pass by it, but they don't notice the leaf struggle

Yet they just assume that eventually it will let go

That leaf has tried to remain green, and it still is

It will not turn brown, because it is very wise and unique

It shall see how people appreciate their surroundings, but they fail

This leaf has learned many things along the seasons as it stood hale

But it knows that the future its unpredictable

So it will work hard until its goal becomes reachable

It wants to show people how green it stood during the winter

And demonstrate new ideas and trends with its features

Perhaps a new study, so everyone can learn its strategies

Maybe it wants peace, or maybe it wants violence

All this leaf knows, is that it wants happiness
