From the moments on the phone

To the heartfelt poems

Reaching and penetrating each others’ safe zone

See she’s lost in time and space

Longing for his embrace

Intellectually, spiritually and physically connected

But currently dejected, leaving their friendship effected

Because his hasty choices left her neglected;

He still has a shot at romance

If she gives him a second chance

Without realizing the cost

Their love could be lost

Cause oft these lines seldom get crossed

She’s loved him for years

And now that he’s near

Her only fear is that he will disappear

From her life, before she can become his wife

While being enticed by women whose love for him won’t suffice

One day he’ll give her the business

If she insists, that will consist

Of something more arousing than a simple kiss on the lips

But with his words he’ll transfix and nix

The confusion she has brought on by loves semantics.

These two are truly meant to be

But until they both see

That they love each other equally

This love will never be their reality.
