This Land is Not Free
You might not care at all and turn a blind eye
To the issue of the North Dakota pipeline
But this is important, let me tell you why
We live in a day in an age where we believe all are equal regardless of race
Black lives matter, don't build that wall
But we're leaving out the most important of all
What about the people who were here first, the people who are one with the land upon birth
We claim to support the minorities but compared to them, we're all a majority
So why turn a blind eye to their abuse by authorities
We've taken and taken til they had nothing left
The crime of the century, a dirty land theft
Deprived of their land, freedom, culture and pride
Yet still we sent them on a journey to die
The ultimate punishment, but what was their crime
These people are just like you and like me
They live in America, land of the free
So why are their values being pushed aside
All just for profit in form of pipeline
The land that was promised only for them is being invaded by metal and lead
Agreements being broken, history replaying again
If we had injustice like this, the people would riot
So why are we, the majority, now so quiet
