I ache (I hadn’t had
any sort of collective conversation,
and this created
a cacophony only my controlling cousin could describe. The cloak
that covered the black scars on my fragile clavicle
would eventually scream a truth
I had been so desperately trying to conceal.
Your everlasting glow, however, influenced me
to transition into reciting euphonious phrases over the dulcet sounds of a psaltery.
You could tell
because you noticed everything.
You bragged your observations to the public eye.
Seeing me continuously cry my heart out after such accusations, you smile;
