Lady of the Night

Sun, 10/13/2019 - 01:25 -- N1sand

They say I'm a cruel goddess

With nothing, but empty promises.

Whom gives you a glimmer of hope.

To only snatch it out of your grasp and say nope.

But I am not that goddess.

For I will put your determination to the test.

I am the goddess they call the Lady of the Night.

I am the stars that you wish on at twilight.

I am the gatherer of all hopes and dreams.

That you people plead and plead on.

To hopefully one day will come true.

I can only do so much.

Before you give up.

Once you give up I will let the star go.

When the well wishers and the silent dreamers see it so.

They will see it fallling and call it a shooting star.

But woe is me to see soceity has given up so far.

That many of my dreamers have stopped dreaming.

And my many well wishers have gone silent instead.

Now all is left are the future generations.

Whom I hope will never forget the past traditions.

Look to the stars and make a wish.

Hold it fast and never let it go even if it's a little childish.

For no dream is too little or too big.

As long as you have determination nothing will be too big.

Once your dream has been fulfilled.

I will put your star back in my field.

My lovely field of the most brighest stars.

That helped make you who you are.

One of the brighest, shiniest and the greatest.

For it's now a dream that has passed my test.

Now it's time for your dream to encourage others.

A dream is no laughing matter.
