Lacking only you
My dear, your visits are too long apart.
And your stays so very very brief
They leave me such a heavy heart
That I can hardly bear my grief.
My villa here is lovely, so too is the weather,
The very silhouette of heav’n
With the fields of blooming heather,
And the verdure of my garden.
Let us lay beneath the stars and moon,
Dreaming of times past.
And pray that dawn will not come soon,
So that our night may last.
I need nothing more than to see your face
And my soul will be anew
Please visit me soon at this lovely place
Lacking only you.
