Dear sky,   Whenever I stare at you my heart is full of sorrow, You who saw it all happen but wasn't able to help in anyway All you did was cry trying to clean every drop of blood you saw fall on your precious land    I used to love your rain because it lulled me into sleep so fast,But never mind my love for it now it only brings back the nightmares There was so much hatred I almost thought I saw you becoming red too.   Do you remember the little secrets we shared? I would just lay down on the grass and stare at you wondering how beautiful and wonderful one should be able to have the opportunity to come visit you,I think I would have worn my beautiful white dress I wore at the baptism of James,  right?   I still don't understand how you would allow such a thing to happen to Maria.I thought you liked her too, she even used to draw the clouds she saw from you.She always said she loved you to death but "Umunwa urarema" right?   You might be a really good host for everyone died looking at you.I cannot tell if dad was looking at you though for I couldn't find his head,I don't think he had his glasses though,He always lost them in his pocket.   Dear sky,   I'm still haunted by the memories of that fateful day,When the world seemed to have lost its humanity,And the only thing that remained was the sound of gunshots and screams.   I wonder if you heard the prayers of those who were trapped,And the cries of mothers who lost their children in the chaos,Did you hear the whispers of hope from those who held on to faith?   The wounds of the past may never fully heal,But we will rise from the ashes of our broken dreams,And we will rebuild our lives and our shattered communities.   We will remember the ones we lost and honor their memory,And we will strive to create a better world for those who come after us,A world where love, compassion, and kindness reign supreme.  As I look up at you today, I see a glimmer of hope,And a promise of a brighter future for us all,A future where we learn from our mistakes and choose to do better.May we never forget the lessons of the past,And may we always strive to be the light that shines in the darkness,For ourselves, for our loved ones, and for the world.
