"kNOwledge"

Without the soft caress of

Knowledge flooding my mind,

The sweet melody of facts and figures,

I would be ever lost.

My words would be lifeless,

My world mellow,

My thoughts dark,

My mind bleak.

Any void that cannot be filled

Is neither lack of hunger

Nor a shortage of romance.

I do not require luxuries.

Gold, silver, and jewels are empty

Without the meaning that knowledge

Kindly grants to them.

What gives breath to my lungs

And haste to my steps

Is the euphoric consciousness

That gives every action meaning.

When we grow accustomed

To living lives of ignorance,

The lights of our cities dim,

And the heat of bodies grows cold.

Liberty herself will cease to define us.

When ignorance is bred,

Innovation is buried.

When we leave behind our thoughts,

We abandon our passions,

Pave a road of desolation,

And leave our children to tread in our footsteps.

To take away the sweet nectar of understanding,

The simple pleasure of knowing,

Is to take away the spark that lights our hall

And sheds a tear in the desert of solitude.

What we know defines us.

When all we have left is soft earth

Around our heads and the winds that blow with the

Turn of the sun,

Words.

Live.

On.
