Just think about that

I am unique,
I am powerful,
I am stronger than people portray me as.
So are you.

You are able,
You are worthy,
And more than anything else in the world,
you are special.

One tiny idea,
One, little imaginative thought
can cure cancer,
could be the solution to world hunger.

A single speck of dust,
Forming an individual,
could be the answer to civilization.
To save us from ourselves.

We have become so destructive,
We have become so manipulative,
So power hungry,
So crazed.

That we have lost track of each other
That we refused to look at another idea because of jealousy.
Because we need to be the best,
because we need to win the award.

Maybe the answer has been there all along
Maybe the solution is simple,
We didn't want to listen though,
we wanted to figure it out ourselves.

How did we get this way?
How did we become so self influenced;
that we tune out a child's ideas,
simply because they're naïve?

I want to change that though,
I want to get inside their heads and see what they're seeing.
My job is to help them,
my job is to be a pediatric neurologist.

So you may think I am insane,
So you may think it's not true,
but a child's imagination is so much greater than ours
And who are we to deny them that attention?
