Just Like Me

A mind is a beautiful thing to waste.

Deep in my mind,

behind the darkness that floats behind my eyelids

There is a yearning for learning.

Corny way to put it? Absolutely

But, it's the best I've got.

And that's just like, me.

I am the first in my family to go to school for psychology.

I want to help those just like me.

Teens specifically.

Who suffer from depression, or anxiety or panic disorders.

Just. Like. Me.

I want to help because I know what it's like to feel helpless.

Lost.

Alone.

Hopeless.

Hopeless...

But there is hope for kids who have mental problems just like me.

They're not alone.

They're never alone.

Because I am just like them

And they are

Just. Like. Me.
