Just Know I Love You

I know you don't believe me when I say I love you

But trust me I do

You've cleaned up the shards of my broken heart

Then put it back together with pieces of you

You broke down all my walls

You made me not scared of love anymore

As we slowly fell in love under the moonlight of that summer's eve

You told me that you love me and would never leave me

I told you that I love you too and I wouldn't want anything to drift away from the way things are

The next day you saw me and blantly ignored me and I didn't understand why

Then as you passed me on the street, you whispered "Just know I love you"

My heart felt confused

My mind was on overdrive

The words you whispered echoing in my head

Pounding against my skull

As I fall asleep that night,

I cry

I fell apart

I felt the last bit of my heart I had left fall to the floor

"Just know I love you"

Never would I believe those words ever again
