Just Ask

Ask me

Where does conviction lie?

In our hearts or in our minds?

Do we see the light of a setting sun

As a moonbeam on the horizon?

Catch a star, give it a name, shake off the dust

By the way, what’s in a name?

Character, why it’s character, of course

And why do we strive for peace and justice?

When we only create war and suffering?

For glory and honor, a long-held dream

Why are the worst intensely passionate?

Who says I’m the worst?

Whose standard is worst?

No one but yours.
