j'oublie mes rêves
If only I could remember my dreams,
And write of what I saw.
I’d tell the world of what I’d seen
And tell them of my awe.
But I forget my dreams it seems
And with them all their poetry.
All the worlds that fill my dreams
Become a whisper to the mem’ry.
How sad that I forget my dreams
For I often dream of you.
If I could melt those frozen streams
And let their memories through
The world would see my reveries
Of earth, of sea, of sky;
And they’d hear those Elegies
I Dream’t of you and I.
