For Joanne

You may think I do not love you but my dear that's far from true,

I have known you know for half my life, a lot we have been through.

Yes, I am hard to live with, you're not the first to tell me that.

And my moods can change, not slowly mind, but at the drop of a hat.

We are all a product of our past, a lot we have been through,

But we cant forget what we did, and none of it should be taboo.

You know I can assure you, to you I have been true,

And true to you I shall remain, no matter whom I do speak to.

I don't know what you saw in me, it must be something to make you stay,

And it scares me that the way I sometimes act will make you go away.

I never wanted to hurt you, never wanted to  make you cry,

I felt your pain, and knowing the cause, it made me want to die.

You may think I do not love you, but my dear that's far from true.

You are my world, you are my life, I will not exist if I am not with you.

So please do not get angry, when I fail to do what's right,

Just know that I do love you, you are my guiding light.
