Jealousy

I’m really missing you today

I feel as if I have been watching your life through glass windows

Perhaps it is the distance that is driving me towards insanity

As I try to peer through the windows a ray of jealousy stings my eyes

Making it impossible to see through the windows

I decide to come back the next day at a different hour

As I try to peer through the windows on this dreary day

I am hindered by a smudge of dirt on the window

Making it impossible to see through

It feels as if this dirt is a smudge of negativity on my mind

It fills my head and consumes my thoughts

Like tendrils of black smoke licking at my mind

I come back the next day with a clear head, at a different hour

Now a pillar of positivity stands erect

Erasing the negativity with beams of light

Shining light so bright it burns through the smears of agony

I don’t come back the next day

I decide to bide my time until the day that these windows will be shattered

Soon

Soon that day will arrive…
