I’ve seen you confused and unsure how to cope

I’ve seen you at your lowest of lows

I’ve seen you confront the pain of your nose

 

I’ve seen you desperate for love and acceptance

I’ve seen you try for peace and a strong defense

I’ve seen you learn and grow with wisdom

I’ve seen you seek my glorious kingdom

 

I’ve seen you weighed down with tremendous guilt

I’ve seen you despair at your life and wilt

I’ve seen you conflicted and defeated

I’ve seen you confronted and mistreated

 

I’ve seen you serve with your heart and mind

I’ve seen you be a gift and incredibly kind

I’ve seen you forgive and ask to be forgiven

I’ve seen you find reason for living

 

I’ve seen you work with what talents you have

I’ve seen you bless others with a smile or laugh

I’ve seen you become a woman of God

I’ve seen you conquer though you are flawed

 

I’ve seen you take responsibility for what you’ve done

I’ve seen you be thankful for each battle you’ve won

I’ve seen my daughter be graceful and to herself true

I’ve seen my image reflected in someone, that someone is you
