It's okay when I'm away I'm okay when I'm away

It's okay when I'm away I'm okay when I'm away
the calm convinces me that the things you did to me weren't that bad
That the way I felt was an exaggeration that the pain was my imagination

It's okay when I'm away I'M okay when I'm away
But when I return and the sound of your voice burns it's way into my head
I become iron again preparing my skin from your venomous spit
Prepared to face the poison in your embrace

This time I won't be dulled I won't let my caution lull or wain I'll remember you're responsible for my pain

I'll remember it's okay when I'm away, I'm okay when I'm away
