It's New Again

It's new again, in a different way
A friend from the past has come, and may
By finding rest in an old friend's heart
Renew a kinship, make a fresh start

It's new again, and who is to say?
Something begins, which was on delay
Connect once more; a blast from the past
But diff'rent now, with hopes it will last.

It's new again, and who knows the half
Recounting old stories, making us laugh
Familiar friends never grow old
They sweeten with age, and turn to gold
