It's All You

They say you're just acting up,

Acting out,

Acting strange.

They say you're just an introvert,

They'll blame it on your friends,

Your music,

Your social media.

They say you can still smile,

Still laugh,

Still feel emotion.

It's just a small thing,

It doesn't mean anything,

Nothing to worry about.

If only they could see,

If only they could feel,

If only they could somehow,

Just be put into your skin.

You can't control this,

You aren't choosing this path,

This pain.

It isn't you.

But they don't wish to know the truth.
