Is it really over yet?

I had a dream, he had a gun.
I asked if I could sit, they asked if I could run.
Without justice there is no peace, they say “I have justice so is there peace?”
Mama always told me to “Be the change you want to see in the world.”
But if the world, wants to see me change would that be their wish?
How do you pass us when we are beaten down to a bloody pulp?
When I give you my final stare all you can do is walk and gulp.
Why does my ethnicity attract publicity when I am disgraced?
Is it because my face is easily replaced when it’s displaced?
