It Lies On That Tongue

It lies on thy tongue,

Once released,

Once freed,

Its infected air,

Deseased soul,

Bone rattling guilt,

Nauseating fear,

Poisoned dreams,

And venom sweat,

Once out,

It rears ugly head,

And scaley body,

Open mouth of venom fang,

Grows bigger on every word,

Heavier and heavier,

With every sound,

When truth wizen,

Ancient truth to tell,

Beast is slain,

Thy save thyself,

With words pure and true.
