Standing in the rain

Wishing we could- press- rewind

But knowing we can’t- 

And I know-

That-

The time has come to say-

It’s time to say goodbye-

Time for to get up and leave- 

Time for you to let me leave the nest

To allow me to take flight-

I know I’m a small town type gal

But I gotta move on-

I want a chance to change-

I am so used to being a Mainer

That is all ‘bout to change-

Soon I ain’t gonna be a Orono teenage girl

I guess I will have to settle into a new hometown

And a entirely different routine, too,

I know all too well I will soon hafta kiss this sweet little town of Orono goodbye

I’ll miss y’all SO, SO much-

Though this is all too true- I know I will soon be at home
