An Island of Insanity

To survive alone on an isle, I need naught but be senile

No need for normality when you harbor irrationality

The humdrum of island life simply will not suffice

The sunshine, the hours, counting the flowers

A jungle, a dolphin, I’m certainly not at Clarkson!

Mangos and guavas and color changing iguanas

No! Better heat stroke then boredom—or a coconut to the scrotum

But with insanity my days will pass alacrity

My friends will be nocturnal, so no need for a journal

I’ll walk like a hound and write novels on the ground

I’ll dine on cakes of sand, they’re not terribly bland

So farewell rationality, I’ll be exploring originality!

I’ll wish my sanity good day.
